Director of Elections for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Dr Edward Omane Boamah, has expressed confidence in the party’s ability to swiftly collate election results, setting an ambitious target to compile at least 75 percent of all total votes by 11 p.m. on December 7, 2024.
This target, according to Dr Omane Boamah, reflects the NDC’s commitment to efficiency and transparency in the electoral process.
During a community engagement in Otoase, located within the Ayensuano Constituency of the Eastern Region, Dr Omane Boamah highlighted the NDC’s dedication to safeguarding the integrity of every vote cast.
His visit was part of a five-day campaign tour aimed at strengthening connections with voters and rallying support.
Dr Omane Boamah reassured Ghanaians that the party’s election directorate is fully prepared to monitor the voting process rigorously and defend each vote to prevent any irregularities.
He underscored that the NDC would remain vigilant and proactive in ensuring a fair election outcome.
In his address, he urged voters to have confidence in the NDC’s readiness to uphold a transparent electoral process, assuring the public that the party would work tirelessly to guarantee that all votes are accounted for accurately and without compromise.
“Go there peacefully to protect your votes, be courageous, work with the security agencies. We have insisted that anyone who will be deployed as a security personnel in this election must be wearing a name tag."
“Work with them to ensure a peaceful election. Be rest assured that the Election Directorate have the support of our Presidential Candidate, John Dramani Mahama, and our National Chairman, Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, that the NDC will complete the collation of 75% of results by 11:pm," he said.
