ODAMBEA FESTIVAL MURDER: Our 120-Year-Old Mother Is Alive - Family Debunks Death Rumours

Following the tradic shooting incident involving one person losing his life on Friday, October 25, 2024, around 2pm in Old Nkusukum at Mankessim. The Twidan clan of Mankessim has called on the public to debunk the death rumours of their beloved 120-year-old mother.

Maame Aba Fosua, the mother of the late 50-year-old, Kwesi Mekyew was reported to have passed away upon hearing that her son has been shot and killed by the Gyaasehen of Mankessim Nkusukum Division, Nana Badu I.

According to Mama Comfort, the family's spokesperson confirmed that, Maame Fosua went unconscious and was sent to the Mercy Women's Catholic Hospital at Mankessim. Adding that the timely intervention of the nurses and doctor at post brought back the life of the grandmother.

She applauded the hospital and hence, called on the Central Regional Police Command and court as she seeks justice for the later brother, Kwesi Mekyew.

The family is reportedly gripped with fear that justice may not be served in their son’s murder case due to recent developments.

The family’s anxiety has deepened, like in other similar cases, this one may not lead to justice, especially since the main suspect, Nana Badu, may appears to be undermining the proceedings.

Pastor Ben, a member of the family also expressed shock over the incident that led to the death of Kwesi. He also appealed to Hon. Asamoah Boateng, the Minister of Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs, police and the court for justice.
