Ghana Showcases Rich Heritage At ITF Africa Cultural Dinner

The organizers of the ITF Johan Cruyff Africa Wheelchair Tennis Training Camp hosted a cultural diversity dinner to showcase the cultures of the participating countries.

The event took place on Friday, September 20, 2024, in Johannesburg, South Africa.

The Ghana Tennis Federation's wheelchair tennis junior team, comprising Emmanuel Amobire and Henry Adjapong, and led by Coach Philip Plange, attended the event to represent the West African nation.

Dressed in vibrant Kente attire, the Ghanaians captivated the audience as they proudly displayed Ghana's rich cultural heritage at the event.

This cultural night, held for the first time, aimed to highlight the diversity and uniqueness of various African countries. It also sought to foster learning and cultural sensitivity among the junior players, encouraging them to appreciate and learn from each other's traditions.

Additionally, participants were introduced to the ITF safeguarding policy during the event.
