Central Region-Based Broadcast Journalist Enstools As Chief

A vibrant broadcast journalist, William Sabin, popularly known as Papa Willie, a Morning Show Host with a Mankessim-based Coastal FM, has been enthroned as the new Infomation Bureau Chief (Ketsekekahen) of Jedu-Asaman in the Mfantseman Municipality of Central Region, bearing the stool name Nana Kobena Savey.

His enstoolment was during the esteemed Akwanbo Festival, which celebrates tradition, culture, and community development.

The festival was attended by dignitaries, including the clergy, pressmen, politicians, and traditional leaders witnessing the historic moment.

Nana Kwesi Brebo, the Chief of Saltpond Ankaful and President of the Nkusukum Traditional Council who doubled as the Chairman for the occasion in his address noted the importance of leadership and unity in the community, hence calling on Ghanaians for cooperation.

Dr. John Kofi Sackey (Odopee), a respected Herbalist and President of the Central Regional branch of the Ghana Federation of Traditional Medicines Practitioners Associations, also cautioned youth against get-rich-quick schemes. He emphasized the importance of hard work, moral values, and embracing positive role models.

The Chief of Jedu-Asaman, Nana Nyamful Krampah VI, outlined his vision for the community, including the construction of a clinic facility, and called for unity and moral support to achieve development goals.

Nana Kobena Savey, in his acceptance speech, thanked the community for the honoru and pledged to work tirelessly for the development of Jedu-Asaman.

The installation of Nana Kobena Savey as Info-Bereau Chief marks a new chapter in the community’s leadership and development journey.

His leadership is expected to bring new energy and ideas to the community, and his experience as a journalist is expected to help promote the community’s interests and culture.
