Dr. Maxwell Ampong

Dr. Maxwell Ampong, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Maxwell Investments Group, has called on Ghanaian businessmen and women to make use of modern technological tools to build up themselves and enhance their efficiency for improved results.

Speaking at the SME Capacity Building Seminar held at Wesley Tower in Accra on Global SME Trends with a Focus on Digital Trends, the CEO noted that to groom a business to a better height, the use of technology must be adopted as a tool.

Dr. Maxwell added that in an era where technological advancements shape the course of businesses, enterprises need to reinvent themselves by infusing innovation into their core strategies.

He bemoaned the fact that it's worrisome that a 35-year-old and above is still considered a minor in Africa, while in other advanced countries around the globe, such people are billionaires. He attributed this to the availability and effective use of varying technologies, including data analysis tools, which is critical for businesses and organizations to move into the next phase of growth.

Dr. Maxwell emphasized that the use of customer relationship management systems, blockchain, the Internet of Things, and AI among other tools, has been a key factor in enhancing efficiency for improved results. Hence, he called on Ghanaian businesses to adopt these technologies to be effective in their operations. He stressed that businesses and enterprises cannot stick to the old ways of conducting activities and expect the preferred results.

Moreover, despite the benefits, he reminded users of technology of the need to build effective cybersecurity systems to combat the associated risks and threats, which, if left unchecked, could lead to the collapse of an organization.

Meanwhile, the adoption of technology has benefits including helping businesses solve complex problems, improving communication, propelling marketing and business growth, improving branding, and boosting customer loyalty.

The event which was under the theme: "Empowering Growth: Optimizing People and Resources for the Digital Era" was organized by Ghana's largest indigenous bank, the Ghana Commercial Bank.
