NPP Women’s Organizer Resigns; Set To Contest As Independent Parliamentary Candidate



Women’s Organizer of the ruling New Patriotic Party(NPP) in the Mfantseman Constituency of the Central Region, Madam Naomi Efua Acquah on Tuesday, 12th June resigned from her position.

In the signed resignation letter she stated “It is with a heavy heart that I submit my resignation as Women’s Organizer for Mfantseman NPP, effective on Wednesday 12th June 2024. The past few months have been challenging and I have faced a lot of intimidation, insults, segregation, discrimination, denials and personal struggles to survive first that have made it difficult for me to continue in this role”.

The statement also stated, “Despite my passion, commitment, and dedication to the cause, I can no longer continue in this condition pretentiously. The entire indiscriminate negative energy has taken a toll on any well-being and I must prioritize my safety and health before anything at all”.

Madam Efua Acquah appreciated the opportunities she had to serve and empower women in her community and was proud of the work she and her constituency executives have done together.

“I  will always hold unto the memories as a sample of partisan politics experience in NPP of Mfantseman Constituency.
