A 16-year-old broken hearted hairdresser has burnt down her boyfriend’s room over breakup at New Nkusukum a suburb of Mankessim in the Mfantseman Municipality of the Central Region.

Yaw Boagyan's report revealed that, the suspect Rebecca Nyomi went to her boyfriend’s workplace, a Cornmail shop and demanded ‘chop money’ but her boyfriend Samuel Agbobli told her that he has broken up with her because she is cheating on him.
The suspect according to report, cried and begged her boyfriend for forgiveness but he dragged her from his workplace.
The suspect, Nyomi after leaving her boyfriend’s workplace went to his house and having a spare key opened the door and set ablaze the room using kerosene.
After torching the room, she locked the doors and the windows and went back to her workplace.
It took the intervention of neighbours to quench the fire to prevent all the 22 rooms in the compound house from being razed down completely.
Properties belonging to Samuel Samuel Agbobli including fridge and TV among otherd could not be retrieved.
The suspect, Rebecca Nyomi has confirmed burning the room and later appealed for forgiveness.
According to her, she also contributed to the purchase of the items in the room.
The suspect is assisting police investigation at the Mankessim Police Division after she was dragged to the station by the community members.
