The Assembly Member for Abrokyire Krobo Electoral Area in the Wassa Amenfi East constituency, Hon. Christopher Assiem, as part of his corporate social responsibility has presented educational items to support three basic schools in his area.
The donated items were textbooks and workbooks to enhance teaching and learning in the electoral area.
The benefited schools were Abrokyire Krobo Roman Catholic Basic School, Wassa Epom Kokofu M/A and Akrofrom M/A Basic Schools.
In an interview with NewsAfricaGh's Listowel Dave Antwi, Mr Assiem Christopher reiterated that, the best way to overcome poverty in the electoral area is quality education.
Hence, called on the beneficiaries and encouraged them to make good use of the books.
The headteachers, teachers and pupils of the schools expressed their profound gratitude to the Assembly Member for the noble gesture and promised to take good care of the books.
They expressed that; "the staff and management of the school has received the generous donation from Hon. Christopher Assiem", adding that
"Mr Assiem's commitment to education is truly commendable, and his contribution is deeply appreciated by the staff and management."
The headteachers teachers and pupils seek God to abundantly bless Mr Assiem for his kindness and dedication to the electoral area.
