A group calling itself Enyan Nkodwo Concerned Citizens in the Ajumako Enyan Essiam (AEE) District of the Central Region have expressed disappointment in the government and authorities over their failure to bring development in the community.
The Concerned Citizens bemoaned over the lack of many developmental projects within the community as a result of bad leadership.
According to the group, their woes have been worsened by the label of being a deaf community, which has significantly hindered their development.
In an interview with NewsAfricaGh News, the Concerned Citizens of Enyan Nkodwo worried that, they are relying on divine intervention to survive because they lack critical infrastructure such as potable drinking water, Educational facilities and materials, toilet facility, health centre, telecommunication networks among others as the major challenges confronting the farming community in the AEE District.
According to them, the aforementioned challenges within the community make living unbearable for most of them.

They expressed that, several attempts by the Concerned Citizens to get the problems resolved keep proving futile.
They further disclosed that, the absence of a health center in the community worsens their plight by compelling them to carry sick and pregnant women to other communities.
The residents further revealed that, the only time they see extravagant promises is when there is an election, and after the election, they are neglected again.
Residents of Nkodwo want the government to give them a fair share of developmental projects by hearing their pleadings, hence calling on the Nananom (chiefs) to up their game.
