"Press Release On Sammy Gyamfi’s Uncouth Public Utterances In AAK"

Abura Asebu Kwamankese (AAK) New Patriotic Party (NPP) Bureau has called on the National Communications Officer for National Democratic Congress, Sammy Gyamfi, to render an apology over a statement he made in a viral video on an attack mounted at women involved with politics.

At a press conference, they describe Sammy Gyamfi's comment to be "disrespect and dishonor."

According to them, Mr. Gyamfi has "reduced the encompassing work of Ghana’s parliamentarians to speeches of propaganda".

PRESS RELEASE ON SAMMY GYAMFI’S UNCOUTH PUBLIC UTTERANCES IN AAK

On 6th April 2024, a video of Sammy Gyamfi, the NDC National Communications Director, making utterances in a clear show of disregard, disrespect, and dishonor first, to the revered Chiefs of Abura Asebu Kwamankese (AAK) and second, to our women in politics and governance came to the attention of the NPP AAK Communications Team. In the video, Sammy Gyamfi reduced the encompassing work of Ghana’s parliamentarians to speeches of propaganda.

We want to state categorically that political campaigns or advocacy is not the same as the legislative responsibility of parliamentarians. If that were the case, the NDC would have located a constituency and invited Sammy Gyamfi to run for office there as well.

Regretfully, he and his purported client, the NDC PC for AAK, are only adept at making appearances on TV and radio stations, giving uncouth speeches.

As a constituency, AAK aims to elect a more dedicated, development-oriented lawmaker who will create jobs and won't limit honest service to long public Speeches of Propaganda. The Electorates would prefer to choose a candidate whose background and experience are focused on an area important to Ghana's development and in particular AAK. In this regard, given the choice between Hon. Kobina Nyanteh, an energy expert, and the NDC Communication Team Member, we would be happy to elect Mr. Nyanteh, also known as Etudur, to accelerate excellent developmental work for AAK.

Eric Kobina Nyanteh is committed to responsible leadership and giving thoughtful speeches and will continue to do so in the Parliament, and to the good People of ABURA ASEBU KWAMANKESE.
At Pentecost Preparatory School, Mr. Nyanteh held the position of school prefect. In his days as a student of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology in 1996–1997, he was elected as the President of the Students' Representative Council (SRC). He served as the NPP Washington DC Chapter's PRO in the US. He addressed challenging issues on Network Design and Improvements while serving as Chief Network Architect for several respectable institutions, including the National Institutes of Health in the USA.

When elected as a member of parliament, Mr. Nyanteh will continue to make statements that are accountable for the advancement of his people as he has done in all the jobs he has held.
Compare Etudur's life work to that of a former Deputy Minister of Communications, a position he diminished to meaningless comments in public. In the four years that the NDC PC was a Deputy Minister, what one outstanding accomplishment can he claim to have made for the good people of AAK?

Talk indeed our fathers say, 'IS CHEAP'.

The NDC's National Communication Officer, Sammy Gyamfi, is attempting to justify why the NDC PC for AAK has concealed his wife, wives, or girlfriends from all of his campaigns while demeaning the presence of women in AAK politics by tying the esteemed, modest, and respected wife of Mr. Nyanteh to his argument.

While political parties are working hard to ensure that the affirmative action bill passes in this generation, the NDC AAK PC has made it a priority to invite his purported party lawyer to disparage Etudur's wife. Given that Sammy Gyamfi denigrates women in AAK, what are we to make of the NDC selecting a female as its vice-presidential candidate? This is hypocrisy.

It is ironic and seemingly a mockery to hear Sammy Gyamfi call on the great Chiefs of AAK, who have such high regard for the excellence of our people, women, and spouses, to rather support the NDC PC, a Former Deputy Minister, who felt it unworthy to invite any of our Chiefs to his ministerial vetting or ever call on them   during his government's tenure. This suggests that the NDC only regard our Chiefs and women when it favors their own self-serving political interests.

Where was Sammy Gyamfi’s plea for the Chiefs and women when the NDC PC ignored them during his heyday?

On the discourse of good governance, the NDC has had four MPs accruing to 20 years of leadership in AAK. Meanwhile the NPP has had only two MPs for just 11 years, but is responsible for all major developmental and economically viable projects in the district. These include but not limited to:

1. The Moree Landing Beach

2. The Asebu 20 lockable room Storey Market

3. The Central Citrus Processing company under 1D1F at Asebu

4. The Abakah Market

5. The Moree Ultra Modern Fish Processing Unit

6. The Abura DUNKWA Emergency ward

7. The Abura DUNKWA Childrens ward

8. The Asebu Town Roads

9. The DUNKWA Town Roads

10. The Wiomua town Roads

11. The Brafoyaw Town Roads

12. The Moree Town Roads

13. The ABAKRAMPA Health Facility

14. The Construction of CHPS Compounds across our various communities in the district

15. Provision of Health Equipment including Pre-Term Medical Incubators, and other health kits to our District capital and other health posts

16. The 60 bed Capacity ward at Moree

17. The ABAKRAMPA clinic Solar conversion

18. The Boys and Girls Dormitories at ABAKRAMPA secondary school

19. The upgrading of the New Ebu vocational school into a TVET status school

20. The extension of portable drinking water to all Kwamankesse communities

21. The Distribution of 450,000 oil palm seedlings to cash crop Farmers

22. The upgrading of Asutech into a Tertiary training outpost

23. Granting of business loans to our women in trade

24. Provision of Sewing and Hairdressing Equipment to our career youth

25. Loads and Loads of employment of our youth into all fields of public service and security forces

It is quite evident that the AAK NDC PC is in a daze and is beginning to take our People, our Women, and our Chiefs for granted by inviting people from his party to address us in the derogatory manner he did even while he is just a PC.

We therefore call on the highly revered Chiefs of AAK to bring the National Communications Officer of the NDC and the NDC PC to order while we admonish our women to stand stronger, united and decisive against the NDC for such unwarranted attack carefully mounted at women involved with the politics of A.A.K.

Thank you.
