The Mfantseman Constituency New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the Youth have respectively commended President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for the quality of appointment he has assembled to help transform Ghana as the Member of Parliament, Hon. Ophelia Mensah Hayford has been nominated as Minister designate for Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation.

In a statement read by the Constituency's Secretary, Mr. Evans Kwasi Osei at the Party's Office when addressing the media on Saturday, February 17, 2024 expressed that, President Akufo-Addo is very much aware of the daunting task ahead and had therefore selected people who he thought could deliver and build a very stable economy where wealth creation will be for all and the appointment was another testimony of Hon. Ophelia Mensah Hayford's ever-rising profile as MP for Mfantseman Constituency.

According to the Mfantseman Youth Wing, NPP has the men and women who can quickly turn around the fortunes of the country and put it on the road to progress and prosperity as President Akufo-Addo has reposed confidence in the appointees and all those who matter in government and they are optimistic this government will not let Mfantseman and Ghana as a whole down.

The New Patriotic Party (Mfantseman Constituency) gladly welcomes the news of the Member of Parliament and Parliamentary Candidate (Hon. Ophelia Mensah Hayford) having been nominated as the Minister Designate for the Environment, Science, Technology and Innovation Ministry.
It is instructive to note that Mfantseman Constituency historically remains the backyard of the New Patriotic Party as a descendant of the United Gold Coast Convention (UGCC) which was formed in 1947 in Saltpond.
The leadership of the Party in the Constituency extols the enviable contributions of successive NPP governments in the Constituency and thus, the appointment of Hon Ophelia Mensah Hayford as Minister Designate for MESTI is a step in the right direction.
