Christopher Assiem Wins Abrokyire Krobo Electoral Area With 596 Votes

Mr. Christopher Assiem has emerged victorious for the Abrokyire Krobo Electoral Area in the Wassa Amenfi East Constituency of the Western Region in the District Assembly elections.

Mr Assiem was declared the winner by a landslide victory with 596 votes following vote collation and counting as his close contender, Mr John Kojo Asaah secured 219 votes and Mr Collin Oduro who resigned from the race also polled 8 votes.

Hon. Christopher Assiem in an interview expressed excitement as he feels very good for the first time of contesting for the district assembly elections.

"We have come out successfully and I want to especially thank everyone in the Electoral Area who has supported me.”

He further called on the Ab/Krobo Electoral Area for their support, unity among others to build together in development.

The jubilant Assiem Christopher assured the people of his electoral area that, he will deliver on every promise and commitment he has made during his campaign.

NewsAfricaGh report has it that this year’s District Assembly and Unit Committee Elections, recorded a massive low voter turnout despite vigorous campaigns from aspirants.

Ghanaians, on Tuesday, December 19 and Thursday, December 21, 2023 went to the polls to elect their Assembly Members and Unit Committee members across the country.
